Affiliate Manager (AM) – the first person who meet every affiliate after registration and with whom he/she proceed to work. AM has the complete information about offers, traffic and statistics which helps affiliate perform well.

Hello! How is it going today in your team?
Great! Good mood and sense of humour exactly what we need to achieve high results, it’s important to stay active and positive in communication with partners.
Usually, first messages from our affiliates influence on all working day and how active it will be.
So, how do you get inspiration for effective working day?
We inspired by good performance and volumes of traffic received during the night) We have friendly and motivated team, so we are always ready for challenges.
Can you list advantages/disadvantages of your profession?
We don’t have routine and never feel bored with dynamically changes that we meet everyday. Affiliate marketing is constantly changing niche, so our job help us to wide range of interests, follow trends and get new knowledges. Another good thing is that we meet many interesting people living all over the world, with absolutely different traditions and culture. Communication online has no boards. If I suggest good offer for affiliate’s traffic we will definitely find common language 🙂
Working affiliate manager I have many positive moments:
– you never stop searching for new knowledges and always develop together with the industry;
– you don’t have problem looking for place on vacation. Just get in touch with partner whose country you planning to visit and get full guide in minutes:);
– get latest news not from the newsfeed.
Сommunication with people sometimes cause misunderstandings or negative reaction, however we try to get across every partner and believe that one day respectful communication will be must-have for every person. And one more thing. Sometimes partner thinks that his/her account is the only managed by one of our affiliate manager)) In fact, manager have to reply in 15+ chats at once, solve all questions asap and try not to mix up the chats:) Unfortunately, some partners don’t understand that AM is real person who occasionally need break and launch)))
Describe please your typical working day. Do you have task list?
Managing of partners’ account is one point of long list for a day:) Let’s leave it secret)) In common, working day of AM is continuous communication with partners and team, monitoring of real-time statistics to help our affiliates get maximum profit.
How do you help your Team to cope with emotional tension and protect them from burnout?
Our friendly and coordinated team is never tired:))) Honestly, it’s hard question. From one side we have enough interesting tasks and no time to be bored, from other – multitask can lead to total weariness. The best way to recharge the batteries is vacation, teambuilding and party time:))
How many partners are managed by one affiliate manager?
Every manager has enough partners and no limit to perfection:)
Can you describe the portrait of successful webmaster?
It’s a very interesting question. I think, webmaster is ambitious, risky, communicable and patient person. It’s very important for affiliate to work in with peresonal manager and give feedback, listen to recommendation and be ready to test new offers and bundles. You’ll never know what is your profitable niche until you test it. Anyway nothing is impossible, just be ready to work hard) We have many partners who were new for affiliate marketing, but their confidence help them to become TOP-partners and work with us for many years.
How to grow friendly and beneficial relationships with affiliate? How do you motivate your partners?
The most difficult thing – to show that we are following the same goal. We can really help improve affiliates’ performance and grow income. AM always finds individual approach to every affiliate and tries to build trustful relationships.
What mistakes are common for most partners?
Unfortunately, affiliate sometimes ignore AM’s advice and hasten with decisions.
Is your work monotony or multifarious? Positive or negative?
Our job is mix of all above) I cannot highlight one of these points. We have similar everyday tasks as well as urgent and creative.
Do you monitor work of competitors?
Affiliate marketing cannot exist without analysis of competitors:)
What traffic sources are popular today? And what of them are lost its position?
Now FB is most popular traffic source. Doorway, web and app spamming is also among popular sources of traffic.
E-mail and Instagram has lower position, however Insta traffic is quality, but very difficult to work with.
Anyway we accept all traffic types, except fraud and motivation:))
What countries are usually at the TOP list of traffic source?
We don’t have such list of countries. It’s better to say that targeted traffic will work on any country, no matter it’s India or Sweden. Traffic volume is more important. We have partners who work only with TIER3 countries, as it costs less. So it’s good for spamming – more volume – you are in plus! For example, you spend $100 working with Asian country, and get $130 of revenue. It’s good result that can be scaled for optimization.
How to become a successful affiliate – share your tips?
- Use creatives and pre-landers which are very similar to the landing page in design;
- Test not only offers, but creative+pre-land;
- Always ask your affiliate manager about offers (hold, payment frequency, what are top sources, are creatives provided, etc);
- Launch tests on several offers with good/big traffic volume in equal amount for each offer. 10 clicks on the offer will never show you full objective information;
- Target your traffic according to the age of audience and their preferences no matter what vertical you’ve chosen for campaign;
- Don’t afraid to test new offers and don’t expect permanently high payouts on old offers. Usually, new offer has higher CR and advertiser can revise payouts in couple of days after successful start of campaign;
- Work with traffic source on your side, don’t rely on network optimization only;
- Don’t waste your time looking for case which brings you high profits. Most cases you can find are outlive. Create your own strategic:)
